Day 1: Ouarzazate – M’hamid El Ghizlane
Departure from Ouarzazate at 08:30 AM, traveling south through the stunning Tizi-n-Tinfifte pass in the Anti-Atlas Mountains. Enjoy panoramic views as you descend into the Dra’a Valley, home to lush palm groves and historic kasbahs.
En route, visit the ancient petroglyphs of Foum Chenna before arriving in Zagora for lunch. Continue to M’hamid, the gateway to the Sahara, where you will embark on a camel trek into the dunes. Enjoy the mesmerizing sunset, followed by dinner under the stars with live Berber music around the campfire. Overnight in a luxury desert camp with private facilities.
Day 2: M’hamid El Ghizlane – Ouarzazate
Rise early to witness a spectacular desert sunrise. After breakfast, take a leisurely walk through the dunes before departing for Tamegroute. Visit the village’s famous green-glazed pottery workshops and the historic Quranic Library.
Continue north to explore Kasbah Tamnougalte, the oldest kasbah in the Dra’a Valley, with its fascinating Jewish quarter and intricate architecture. Cross the Anti-Atlas Mountains once more, arriving back in Ouarzazate in the late afternoon, where your unforgettable desert adventure concludes.
